The Full Capacity Leader

Learn to choose your response under pressure without adding to your mental load.

A free two-hour hands-on workshop on Zoom

What if your stress didn't decide how you respond in the heat of the moment?

Imagine your colleague walks in 20 minutes before a deadline to tell you something fell apart. Instead of freaking out, you take a moment and then ask the one question that makes the difference.

You're making an important presentation and instead of your anxiety rushing you through every point, you take your time.
You say less.
You breathe between sentences. You're even having fun.
The best part is that the people listening to you really got it.

Picture walking in the door at the end of a long day and instantly being met with "What's for dinner?" Instead of snapping or and exasperated sigh, you have the bandwidth to respond, "I don't know. Let's figure it out together."

None of these are about trying harder, but rather having enough space in the moment to lead well, instead of just getting through it.

Most of the time moments like these go unnoticed but they add up over time until it's just how things are.

The difference you make matters and you love making it. The decisions, the clients, the people who count on you-- you wouldn't trade any of it.

But when someone questions a decision you've already made in front of everyone else, you tend to push back harder than you need to. Now everyone is quietly uncomfortable and they stop bringing hard issues to you for a while.

Your to-do list is a mile long, so slowing down never feels like an option. In those tiny spaces when you do find a little time that could be yours, instead of actually resting, you reach for your phone or collapse in front of the TV, because that feels like the only choice.

The fact is you want to handle things differently. You know how it should look, but changing takes energy and time you don't have on top of everything else already stacked there.

You can't find the energy for anything else and judge yourself for it. Maybe you even wonder if it's a character flaw.

It's not.

It's a protective pattern that got you through, and now it runs on its own, before you get a say.

The missing piece isn't willpower. It's a practiced way to pause before the pattern takes over. And it's simpler than you think.

"It was meaningful to put words to my challenges and then share them in this trusted space. And hearing other people's perspectives made me feel less alone."

What You'll Take Away

  •  Learn why keeping up feels harder now than it used to, and what's happening underneath that pressure.

  • Recognize the difference between the version of you that handles it well and the version that doesn't, described in your own words rather than someone else's.

  • Understand why knowing better doesn't change what happens in the moment, and what does.

  • Work with your own situations, not case studies, which is why it holds up after the workshop ends.

  • Hear how other people in your position are working with the same thing, which is harder to come by than it should be.

  • Leave with simple practices you can use right away, not one more thing you understood in the room and forgot when things got busy.

I spent years thinking my own challenges meant I just needed to know more. So I kept striving, gathering information, and trying to think my way to a different outcome.

The gap was never about what I knew. It was that I'd gotten good at understanding my patterns, but I'd never practiced doing something different in the moment they showed up.

Learning to work with what was actually happening in my body in real time, not just what was happening in my head, was what made the difference.

In more than 16 years of coaching this is the piece that connects everything else and it's the part I'm most glad to be sharing now.

Why Now...

The pace of change keeps accelerating.

Most of us are trying to keep up with a speed we were never built to match, and it's easy to lose touch with what actually makes us effective--our own presence, judgment, and connection to the people around us.

Working harder isn't the fix. Catching the moment is.

If you responded in a way last week, this morning or even an hour ago that you aren't proud of, this is where you learn to do things differently.
